Our geomatics team at TULLOCH offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and across Canada.  We often find ourselves working in locations that offer logistical challenges, but also impressive opportunities for success and learning.  We provide a full range of traditional surveying services as well as construction monitoring, precision layout, and high definition 3D laser scanning.   We are innovative in our approach and whenever possible utilize emerging technologies to improve both the efficiency and quality of deliverables to our clients.

We are currently looking for a full time Assistant Project Manager to join our team.  This is a permanent full time position to begin as soon as a successful candidate is found.


Working under the supervision of a Geomatics Project Manager, the primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assist project manager in all aspects of project delivery
  • Setup new projects
  • Provide project updates to Project Manager and General Manager
  • Supervise field crews in the field and remotely from office locations
  • Supervise drafting staff in the creation of engineering survey base plans, profiles, cross sections, and DTMs.
  • Calculating/ checking horizontal alignments for linear highway and roadway projects
  • Engineering Survey Plan Checking including base plans, profiles, cross sections, and DTMs
  • Preparing survey reports, drafting and DTM processing reports, and control survey reports.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks at once in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience and an understanding of GPS equipment
  • Experience with Control Surveys and least-squares adjustments
  • Understanding of LiDAR data and collection methods
  • Experience and a solid understanding of DTM creation in AutoCAD LDD, InRoads, and Civil 3D environments
  • An understanding of horizontal alignments and Highway Geometric Design,  MTO and TAC standards, and experience in creating these in AutoCAD LDD, InRoads, and Civil 3D
  • Knowledge and understanding of Ontario Legal Survey information including legal survey plans (R-Plans, M-Plans, etc.), Block maps, MTO Title Records, and associated documents.
  • Ability to travel and complete site inspections and field work
