TULLOCH Engineering is a progressive consulting firm that provides engineering, land surveying, environmental and mapping services.  We employ over 300 professionals working from twelve offices throughout Ontario.

The engineering team at A. J. Clarke and Associates Ltd. Responsibilities

Our Engineering division is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to provide support to Project Managers in our Engineering group.  The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Stormwater management calculations and design, storm sewer sizing and layout of storm sewer drainage networks for site-plan and subdivision developments
  • Sanitary sewer design and sizing, layout of sanitary sewer networks for site-plan and subdivision developments
  • Watermain designs including hydraulic calculations, watermain sizing and network layout
  • Detailed grading design according to local grading criteria for site-plan, subdivision and severance files
  • Preparation of detailed designs using Civil 3D and co-ordination with our drafting team for final drawings preparation for review by signing engineer
  • Aiding in preparation of schedules of quantities and detailed cost estimates for development projects
  • Communication and co-ordination with a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers, Ontario Land Surveyors, and Professional Planners
  • Report writing for stormwater management and functional servicing reports together with preparation of associated reports and figures
  • Client co-ordination, and general project management under the oversight of a Senior Project Manager
Qualifications
  • Civil Engineering Degree from accredited University
  • Registration with the Professional Engineers of Ontario with P. Eng designation (or eligibility to register and current participation in the PEOs ‘Engineer-in-Training’ program)
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in municipal engineering for Land Development (3 to 5 years’ experience is preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and report writing skills
  • Knowledge of various stormwater management /stormwater modelling programs and hydraulic/hydrologic analysis tools including SWM-HYMO, PCSWMM, XPSWMM, MIDUSS and HEC-RAS
  • Knowledge of municipal designs standards for site-plan and subdivision developments together with Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks design standards for sewers, watermain and stormwater management
