Our geomatics team at TULLOCH offers services to private and government sector clients across Canada.  We often find ourselves working in locations that offer logistical challenges, but also impressive opportunities for success and learning.  We provide a full range of traditional surveying services as well as construction monitoring, precision layout, and high definition 3D laser scanning.   We are innovative in our approach and whenever possible utilize emerging technologies to improve both the efficiency and quality of deliverables to our clients.

We are currently looking for a full time Project Manager to join our growing team in Western Canada.  This is a permanent full-time position to begin as soon as a successful candidate is found.  This position provides a unique opportunity to join early and make a meaningful impact into a growing, progressive and people centric organization.


Working under the supervision of the Geomatics General Manager, the primary responsibilities will include:

  • Function as project manager in all aspects of project delivery including bidding and proposal preparation, project setup, logistics, resource and technical planning and execution, billing and collections
  • Project management of geodetic, cadastral, engineering and construction survey projects
  • Supervise field crews in the field and remotely from office locations
  • Supervise drafting staff in the creation of both cadastral and engineering survey products
  • Calculating/ checking parcel boundaries, construction layouts, control networks in a wide variety of markets aligned to our strategic plan
  • Client relations and business development
  • Licensed Alberta Land Surveyor (ALS)
  • Minimum (5) years practical experience with preference to candidates whom have worked in the Power (Generation/Transmission/Distribution) as well as the Transportation and Municipal Infrastructure markets
  • An aptitude for business development with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment
  • Understanding of use and application of both aerial mapping and LiDAR would be considered an asset
  • Ability to travel and complete site inspections and field work
