Alignment and Gyro-Surveys

Tulloch offers unparalleled resources to mining industry clients to solve even the most complex infrastructure challenges. Our geomatics staff combine proven methods and innovative technologies to provide reference points and markers that will guide the construction of tomorrow’s mining infrastructure. Our qualified technologists perform precision layout services to facilitate the construction of all types of mining facilities. We are one of the few consulting firms world-wide to offer construction layout services to underground mining operations using modern gyro-theodolite survey technology. The GP1-2A Gyro Station enables us to quickly determine true north within 20” accuracy. Gyro theodolites are typically used in underground mining applications to establish azimuth control for lateral development and baselines. We have recently completed Gyro surveys at the Vale Inco Totten Mine in Worthington, Lakeshore Gold Mine in Timmins and in Ottawa for Sander Geophysics to set a calibration baseline for their instruments.Once construction in underway, we provide quantity surveys and as-built surveys to verify the location of facilities during and after construction.
