The Geomatics team at TULLOCH offers services to private and government clients across the land development, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors throughout Alberta and across Canada.  We provide a full range of traditional surveying services as well as construction layout and monitoring, utility verification, UAV Surveys, and high-definition 3D laser scanning.   We are innovative in our approach and whenever possible utilize emerging technologies to improve both the efficiency and quality of deliverables to our clients.


We are currently looking for a full time Geomatics CAD Technician to join our Calgary team. This is a permanent, full-time position to begin as soon as a successful candidate is found.  We view this position as one with potential for growth.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery;

  • Interpretation and quality control of survey field notes;

  • Spatial data processing and adjustment using Trimble Business Center (TBC) or similar software;

  • Compilation of desktop mapping from authoritative spatial data sources;

  • Calculations and quality control in support of municipal and commercial construction projects;

  • Preparing pre-engineering, topographic and cadastral plans using Microsurvey and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D;

  • Ensuring plans are in compliance with land titles office standards and TULLOCH drafting requirements.



  • A college diploma from a Geomatics Technician or Technology program or equivalent experience;

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the survey industry in a similar position;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Excellent problem-solving skills;

  • Proficient in the use of survey industry software such as MicroSurvey, AutoCad Civil 3D and TBC (or similar);

  • Ability to work both independently, and in a team environment;

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
