Clarke is a division of TULLOCH Engineering which is a progressive consulting firm with over 350 Professionals working from 16 offices across Canada providing engineering, land surveying, environmental, and mapping services. We are currently looking for a Geomatics CAD Technician to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position to begin as soon as the successful candidate is found.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery

  • Interpretation and quality control of survey field notes

  • Spatial data processing and adjustment using Trimble Business Centre (TBC) or similar software

  • Compilation and quality control in support of municipal and commercial construction projects

  • Perform calculations, analysis, and computation of measurements on field survey data

  • Preparing pre-engineering, topographic, and cadastral plans (including SRPRs, Reference Plans, Subdivision and Condominium Plans and Crown Land Plans)

  • Ensuring plans are in compliance with land titles office standards and A.J. Clarke drafting requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • A college diploma from a Geomatics Technician or Technology program or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the survey industry in a similar position

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in the use of survey industry software such as MicroSurvey, AutoCAD and Civil 3D

  • Ability to work both independently, and in a team environment

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
