The Geotechnical Engineering Team at TULLOCH offers services to infrastructure, mining, and energy clients throughout Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and Canada.  We provide expertise and experience in executing high complexity engineering designs and analyses for large-scale developments.  Our Engineering work encompasses specialized foundation and earthwork engineering, design of shoring and ground improvement schemes, design, construction, and safety reviews of dams as well as forensic investigations.     

 

We are currently looking for a full time Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager to join our team.  This is a permanent full-time position to begin as soon as a successful candidate is found.

 

Qualifications

  • University degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering (MS in Geotechnical Engineering preferred);

  • Professional Engineer with EGBC, P. Eng., license is an asset;

  • 8+ years of experience in the geotechnical consulting/construction industry;

  • Geotechnical/multi-disciplinary project management experience;

  • Site investigation and construction inspection experience;

  • Experience with geotechnical analysis and design software;

  • Proposal preparation experience;

  • Experience with shoring, foundation design, slope stabilization, seismic analysis, and ground improvement design;

  • Class “G” driver’s license is required and willingness to travel, predominately in BC and Alberta;

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills;

  • Organizational skills, strong work ethic, problem solving and decision-making skills, self-initiative, and eagerness to learn.

 

Responsibilities

  • Project management and delivery of all stages of geotechnical engineering including proposal preparation, concept design, preliminary design, detailed design and construction support;

  • Detailed design analysis and reporting of shoring, foundations, slope stabilization, liquefaction mitigation, and ground improvement solutions;

  • Oversee multiple geotechnical projects simultaneously;

  • Provide training to junior personnel and support senior engineers with business development activities;

  • Project management including planning, reporting, and tracking schedules and budget;

  • Strong client liaison and communications.
