TULLOCH Engineering is a well-established consulting firm that provides engineering, land surveying, environmental and mapping services.  We employ over 350 professionals working from fifteen offices across Canada. TULLOCH’s Mapping team is the leading company in Canada offering mobile LiDAR surveying technology and delivery of engineering grade survey plans for rail, highways and municipal road engineering applications.  We are actively involved on a number of large infrastructure rail and transit programs in the GTA and are looking for passionate geomatics professionals to help deliver these programs.  These programs require an extreme work ethic, an aptitude towards leading edge technology, the ability to break down complex problems into manageable solutions, and experience in LiDAR and Geodetic survey principles. 


We are currently looking for a full time Senior Geomatics Professional to join our team.


Responsibilities (including but not limited to): 

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining client relations and ensuring quality of services

  • Assist in overseeing project activities during each project phase and project execution

  • Attend meetings as required

  • Prepare time and cost estimates for proposals

  • Prepare project agreements and subconsultant agreements

  • Assist in managing logistics including equipment, production, project quota, data collection

  • Assist in Planning and Resources management including, scheduling, supervising staff, providing leadership and technical support

  • Assist in Financial Project Management ensuring scope of work and budget along with financial terms of agreements are met, negotiate change orders, review monthly WIP and invoices

  • Assist in Operational Strategies



  • 5+ years of experience working in a senior/advanced operations role

  • Survey Degree with experience in Geodesy and Mapping

  • Familiarity and a fundamental knowledge of CAD (Civil 3D, Microstation V8i, InRoads and TopoDOT)

  • Experience with LiDAR survey operations – Airborne, Mobile, Static

  • Survey Control experience

  • Field experience at a senior level on diverse projects – rural, urban and remote

  • Knowledgeable in processing software for GPS, Inertial Navigation, Least Squares Adjustments

  • Experience in developing project plans, schedules, budgets etc.

  • Ability to teach field staff as required

  • Good leadership qualities and management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English primarily)

  • Ability to travel when/if necessary and a valid Drivers License
